Marx: It’s not religious entrepreneurs that are needed but witnesses

I am going to post articles about what various cardinals and bishops who will be at this fall’s Ordinary Synod are saying as it gives us an idea that there are some interesting opinions out on the Synod, and not all as negative as what has been recently said by the conservatives.  The following article about Cardinal Marx is interesting because he is a very key, powerful player in Francis’ papacy….Reyanna

“What we need is not religious entrepreneurs but witnesses and testimonies,” says the Archbishop of Munich and President of the German Bishops’ Conference, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, in an interview with French Jesuit journal Etudes. In the interview, Marx addresses amongst other things, the issue of the family in light of the synod , the relations between Church and society and the possibility of a “rebirth” (not a “restoration”) of the faith in today’s world.
