I know that many of you have read Jesus, An Historical Approximation by Jose Antonia Pagola. If you have not read it, I highly recommend this. As I recently re-read the book, after the election of Francis, I kept wondering if he had read it as I was encountering themes and verbiage so similar to what I had read from Francis I came across this interview the other day. Seven years after its publication, and after overcoming quite a few difficulties, Jesus: An Historical Approximation (PPC 207 in Spanish, Convivium Press 2009 in English) continues to reap victories, most recently the 2014 Excellence in Publishing Award from the Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) in the United States.
